Testimonial - Jiangsu Education Delegation - QUT Immersion Program
Dear Education Hervey Bay Delegates,
“G’day, how are ya?!!”
Ladies and gentlemen,
I feel greatly honoured to be here on behalf of the Palm
Tree Class Group, from Jiangsu Education Commission. We express our
heartfelt appreciation to your one week meticulous arrangements in
beautiful Hervey Bay with fresh air, pleasant climate, beautiful
environment, fantastic beaches and friendly people. We have gained much
from our short time here, thank you very much.
Although it is such a short time, you have provided us with
a unique opportunity to acquire more information about the education
system here in Australia. While we only spent one week here, a visit to
Australia Zoo allowed us to experience Australia’s native fauna, a full
day tour to Fraser Island allowed us to experience Australian natural
brilliance, Aboriginal culture, one of the oldest continuous living
cultures on the planet. All these experiences have contributed to a
better understanding of the cultural differences and similarities
between Australia and China, thus developing our competence in
intercultural communications.
In such a short time, the variety of interesting and lively
classroom activities and broad new concepts of language learning and
teaching have broadened our minds, and I am sure we will benefit greatly
from them.
Whilst only being here for a week, the schools have placed
utmost importance on looking after what we need. We have been warmly
received at our home stay families. The Australian food pleasant to
taste. The community warm safe and friendly in a comfortable and
supportive environment. Our home stay families really made us feel at
home!
We enjoyed every day in every way when we were in Hervey
Bay!!
